Once or twice a week, I do my light cheating. I may have a Boar's Head ham sandwich (low carbohydrate bread) with two or three tablespoons of mayonnaise or the same with Boar's Head turkey for lunch.
I may mix mayonnaise with low carbohydrate macaroni elbows for macaroni salad. Maybe for dinner I'll have low carbohydrate noodles and cheese or low carbohydrate pasta with cheese or butter (I still haven't tried a few low carbohydrate goodies but as I do I'll let you know about it in the forums).
The weekends are when I do most of my serious heavy cheating. I'll go to the Outback Steakhouse and eat a few pieces of the bread that comes with dinner. I'll load up the butter and have a ball! I usually have a bunch of croutons in my salad as well.
Or, I'll have a few bites of a slice of pizza and eat the rest of the cheese (usually extra cheese) with the tomato sauce still on it (It's funny how when you don't eat the bread of the pizza, you seem to forget about it. It really doesn't add much flavor).
Maybe I'll have a few cheese doodles or pretzels or popcorn at the movies. Maybe a couple of bites of an egg sandwich when my low-carbohydrate bread isn't available. As long as I don't do this too often, all is well. I step on the scale and I'm either the same weight or less.
Another good way to cheat and get away with it is by using a carb blocker.
